Moms Offering Moms Support Club of Palos Verdes Are you new to the Palos Verdes area or are looking to meet other mom's in the area? We are a support group for the full or part-time at-home mom, that are trying to manage their everyday activities, along with taking care of their children. MOMS Club of Palos Verdes is a local chapter of MOMS Club International that helps to provide an enriching social environment for the children by coordinating playgroups at nearby parks or indoor playgrounds, meeting at someone's home or visiting a nearby museum/aquarium. Field trips are planned for all members during the year to explore other places, such as Tanaka Farms, Travel Town or the zoo, etc. For the mom's, a Moms Night Out event is planned once a month, so moms can enjoy the company of other moms. MOMS Club of Palos Verdes also participates in fundraising for the International MOMS Club's Mother-to-Mother Fund that helps MOMS Club members who are in need because of a devastating natural or personal disaster. We also raise funds for Friends of the Peninsula Library since most of our children attend story time or check-out books from the library.
International MOMS Club® MOMS Club was started in the fall of 1983 by our founder Mary B. James. The first local chapter was in Simi Valley, California. Word spread about the wonderful support that the MOMS Club offers at-home mothers and MOMS Club became the national organization in 1985. Now there are over 500 local chapters with 25,000+ members across the country - and more chapters are starting every month. With MOMS Club, you will have activities for you and your children, during the day when you most need the support. And remember, with the MOMS Club, you can participate and bring your children along! We believe that having children around is a natural part of being a mother. Having children and choosing to raise them ourselves should not isolate mothers-at-home. The MOMS Club® is a nonprofit corporation and a 501 (C) (3) publicly-supported charity registered with the IRS.
